Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the aggregated predictions of informed traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when a significant amount of information isn't widely known or when there's strong sentiment among those participating in this market. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise in understanding where the perceived edges lie, though sportsbooks may offer different types of wagers not available here.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and sentiment. The current price reflects the market's best guess as to the likelihood of each possible result.

This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Moshovskyi vs. Maltsev match, as reported by a recognized authority in the sport. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders who held shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding the players' form, potential injuries, or changes in their coaching strategies could shift expectations. Significant public or expert opinions, such as analyst predictions or prominent commentators' views, can also impact trading activity. Unexpected developments in the lead-up to the match, like weather conditions or venue changes, might also cause the market to react. Increased trading volume, driven by new information or shifts in sentiment, is a key indicator to watch.
