Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own analysis and a margin for profit, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can take the opposite position in this market, driving the price towards a more accurate representation of the event’s likelihood. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional bookmakers, particularly as more information becomes available.
