On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders set the odds through direct buying and selling of contracts representing each possible outcome. The current implied probability reflects the balance of buy and sell orders for each outcome. This decentralized pricing mechanism captures the collective wisdom of participants and can shift rapidly with new information or in-game momentum swings.
This market resolves around Aug 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the match result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The first team to score a goal during regulation time determines the payout, with no consideration given to own goals or matches that remain scoreless through the final whistle.
Key moments such as team lineups, early goals, injuries to star players, weather changes, and tactical adjustments can all dramatically shift this market. Sudden leads or red cards often cause rapid repricing as traders reassess the likelihood of each team finding the net first. Any development that impacts scoring probability may trigger noticeable movement in odds before the final whistle.
