Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. As a result, prediction market prices can sometimes be more efficient, especially when there's significant public information available and active trading. It’s common to see discrepancies, offering potential arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.
