Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade on their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular result, the odds here may move in a different direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of trading volume occurs, as the market aggregates information from many sources.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and exchange shares, the price adjusts to represent the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. The market's price is driven entirely by supply and demand, meaning it’s a direct expression of what traders are willing to pay for a share in a particular outcome.

This market resolves around Sep 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the MODUS Super Series darts match between Henry Cooper and Keegan Brown. The platform will rely on publicly available, authoritative sources to determine the winner and settle the market accordingly. Traders should monitor official announcements from the event organizers for confirmation of the final result and the subsequent settlement of this market.

Several factors could influence the trading activity and therefore the odds in this market. Any news regarding the form or fitness of either Henry Cooper or Keegan Brown, such as injury reports or recent performance statistics, could cause shifts in trader sentiment. Unexpected developments in the broader darts scene, or even significant changes in public perception of either player’s chances, could also lead to movement. Major upsets in other matches leading up to this one might also influence how traders assess the probabilities, impacting the volume and price of shares.
