Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show materially different implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, especially as new information emerges or if one venue attracts different participant pools. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest and where outlier views persist.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares, with the current price of each share reflecting its implied probability of occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market remains open to new positions until close, allowing continuous repricing as fresh information arrives or trader conviction shifts. Prices are determined entirely by supply and demand, meaning high-conviction traders can move odds significantly with large positions.
This market resolves around Jun 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team will be determined by the final result of the championship match, and resolution occurs after the game concludes and the victor is officially announced. Traders should monitor official league communications and sports news sources leading up to that date to stay informed.
Key catalysts include roster announcements, player injuries or trades, recent team performance and head-to-head records, and any official league statements about format or scheduling changes. Media coverage and expert analysis may also shift trader sentiment if new tactical insights or injury updates emerge. As the match date approaches, late-breaking news—such as last-minute roster adjustments or weather conditions—can trigger sharp repricing in the final hours before play begins.
