Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may show different implied probabilities than major sportsbooks, particularly for less-obvious exact scores. Comparing the two can reveal where traders see value that bookmakers have priced differently, though both sources provide useful context for understanding the range of likely results.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares representing each possible exact score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The cost of a share reflects the collective probability estimate of all active traders at any given moment. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, prices adjust in real time. You can enter limit or market orders to trade at your preferred price, and the market's depth and liquidity determine how easily you can execute larger positions without significant slippage.
This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the match between Mjallby AIF and AIK concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals each team scores by the end of regulation time. Traders who hold shares in the correct final score receive their payout, while incorrect predictions expire worthless. Resolution is automatic once the result is confirmed and locked into the platform.
Team news—injuries to key players, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—can significantly alter the probability of specific scorelines. Recent form, head-to-head history, and home-field advantage all influence trader expectations. Weather conditions on match day may affect play style and goal-scoring likelihood. As kickoff approaches, late-breaking information about player availability or unexpected roster decisions typically triggers sharp price movements. Live trading during the match itself can also shift odds if early goals or red cards reshape the perceived likelihood of final outcomes.
