These markets evaluate different thresholds of points scored in the second half of a college football game, including overtime. Each threshold represents a specific level of scoring performance that must be exceeded for the market to resolve positively.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second half (including overtime) of the Missouri vs Mississippi St. college football game scheduled for September 26, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their lines, aiming to profit regardless of the outcome, and may be influenced by promotional considerations. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own analysis and information. As a result, prediction market prices can sometimes diverge from sportsbook lines, potentially offering a more accurate reflection of true probabilities as perceived by a diverse group of forecasters. It's common to see differences emerge as new information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes. The price of a contract indicates the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people buy contracts for a specific outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of the traders involved, creating a real-time forecast for the Missouri vs Mississippi State 2nd half total.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 2nd half of the Missouri vs Mississippi State game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official total points scored in the 2nd half, as determined by official game statistics. The platform will then determine the winning contracts based on whether the actual 2nd half total falls within the ranges defined by the available contracts in this market. All outcomes will be verified against credible public sources.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Sep 27, 2026. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Missouri or Mississippi State would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also move the market. Game-day developments, such as early scoring drives or defensive adjustments, will cause rapid price fluctuations. Finally, large volume trades from informed participants could signal shifts in market sentiment and lead to price movements.
