In the upcoming college football clash between Missouri and Kansas, bettors can predict which team will score the first touchdown. The outcome hinges solely on the initial scoring play, with all types of touchdowns—offensive, defensive, or special teams—counting towards the result.
The market resolves based on which team scores the first touchdown in the Missouri vs Kansas college football game originally scheduled for Sep 11, 2026. All touchdowns count, including those scored in overtime. If neither team scores a touchdown during the entire game, including overtime, the market titled “No team scores a TD” resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe one team is more likely to score first, the odds will shift accordingly, potentially diverging from sportsbook lines. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment changes leading up to the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome – in this case, which team will score the first touchdown. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective belief about that outcome’s likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The market depth shows the available buy and sell orders at different price points, giving traders insight into the current supply and demand.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team scores the first touchdown in the Missouri-Kansas football game. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and play-by-play data. Any disputes regarding the outcome will be evaluated based on publicly available and verifiable information from trusted sports news sources and official game records.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Missouri or Kansas would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is expected, could also impact the odds. Pre-game analysis from sports analysts and public betting trends can also shift market sentiment. Finally, any unexpected developments leading up to kickoff, such as coaching changes or significant team news, could cause the market to react and prices to adjust.
