These markets evaluate how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Missouri and Kansas. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Missouri vs Kansas college football game scheduled for September 11, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds the threshold (e.g., more than 2.5, 5.5, 7.5, etc.), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during regulation 4th quarter play count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a smaller team of experts, while this market incorporates insights from many individuals. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as new information emerges or public perception shifts. While sportsbooks may initially focus on statistical analysis, this market can quickly adapt to factors like injuries, weather, or even qualitative assessments of team morale, potentially leading to differing probabilities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of the 4th quarter total going over or under a certain point. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability of the ‘yes’ outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective expectation. The market’s depth and liquidity, indicated by the trading volume, influence how easily prices can move and how accurately they reflect current sentiment.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final 4th quarter total score of the Missouri versus Kansas game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics as reported by a recognized sports data source. Traders who correctly predicted whether the 4th quarter total will be over or under the implied threshold will receive a payout based on the final price of their contracts at the time of resolution. The market’s outcome is determined solely by the official game results.
Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to game day. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Missouri or Kansas would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring a high- or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team dynamics might also shift trader sentiment. Even public perception and media coverage surrounding the game could contribute to price fluctuations as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
