These markets track specific combinations of first-half and full-game outcomes in an upcoming college football matchup. Each market requires both the first-half result and the final game result to match the specified conditions for resolution. The events consider various possible scenarios, including wins by either team or a tied first half, combined with different final outcomes.
All markets resolve based on the combined results of both the first half and the full game (including overtime) of the Mississippi St. vs South Carolina college football game scheduled for Sep 19, 2026. For any market to resolve as 'Yes,' both the specified first-half result and the specified full-game result must occur exactly as described. If either the first-half or full-game result does not match the market's conditions, the market resolves to 'No.' Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game fails to start within the 48-hour window, all markets will resolve to a fair price. These rules apply uniformly across all outcome combinations, ensuring consistency in resolution methodology.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents a diverse range of opinions from individuals trading on Kalshi. Generally, prediction markets tend to be more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when there is significant public interest. However, sportsbook odds can be influenced by factors like promotional offers and state-specific regulations, leading to discrepancies in probabilities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and sentiment. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth—the number of buy and sell orders at various price points—indicates the level of agreement or disagreement among traders. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the odds are constantly updated based on real-time trading activity.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Mississippi State vs. South Carolina game—whether it's a Mississippi State win, a South Carolina win, or a specific halftime/fulltime combination—will determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on the official game results as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the winning outcome will be paid out according to the market’s pricing at resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market before Sep 19, 2026. Key injuries to star players on either team would likely have a significant impact, as would any major coaching changes or unexpected team news. Changes in public perception, driven by media coverage or expert analysis, can also shift the odds. Even weather forecasts could play a role, particularly if conditions are expected to favor one team’s playing style. Unexpected upsets in other games involving these teams could also influence trader sentiment and volume.
