This event tracks the performance of both teams in a college football game, focusing specifically on how many rushing touchdowns each team scores. The outcome depends on whether predetermined thresholds of rushing touchdowns are met by either Mississippi State or Minnesota during the match.
The event evaluates whether Mississippi State or Minnesota achieves specific numbers of rushing touchdowns in their college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. Each market corresponds to a different threshold of rushing touchdowns for each team (2+, 3+, or 4+). A rushing touchdown is counted when a player gains possession of the ball and scores a touchdown through their own running effort, including cases where the player recovers their own fumble and scores. Touchdowns scored by another player after recovering a fumble by the original ball carrier do not count. All rushing touchdowns, including those scored in overtime, contribute to the total. Successful two-point conversions are excluded from the count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain active and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the markets resolve to a fair price. Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, particularly before significant events or when public opinion shifts. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view of the likely outcome, but remember that this market represents a forecast made by individuals, not a fixed oddsmaker.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics for the Mississippi State versus Minnesota football game, specifically the number of rushing touchdowns scored by each team. The final score, as recorded by official sources, will determine which contracts payout and at what value. Traders will be able to see the final result and contract payouts on Kalshi following the game's conclusion.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Injury reports for key players on either team, particularly running backs or offensive linemen, would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, such as heavy rain or snow, could also affect the likelihood of rushing touchdowns. Unexpected news regarding team strategy or coaching decisions might also shift trader sentiment. Finally, any significant public discussion or analysis regarding the teams' rushing attacks could impact the volume and pricing within this market.
