Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Limitless, aims to reflect the true probabilities as perceived by the crowd. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust based on new information and changing sentiment, potentially offering more accurate probabilities as the event approaches. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially when public opinion diverges from expert forecasts.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, directly reflecting the collective belief of the traders. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means the odds aren’t set by a bookmaker but emerge from the interactions of many participants. The more traders believe an outcome will occur, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing allows for a constantly updated assessment of probabilities.

This market resolves around Sep 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Andreeva vs Sasnovich match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and settle all outstanding contracts. Traders holding contracts for the winning outcome will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for the losing outcome will forfeit their stake. This ensures a transparent and objective resolution process.

Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes in playing conditions could significantly impact the perceived probabilities. For example, reports of Andreeva or Sasnovich experiencing a minor injury during practice could shift the odds. Additionally, unexpected results in other matches involving these players, or changes in weather forecasts at the tournament location, could also trigger shifts in the market. General tennis news and analysis, as well as public sentiment expressed on social media, can also contribute to price movements.
