This event tracks which team will score the fourteenth point first in an upcoming professional football game. It captures the sequence of scoring milestones rather than the overall game outcome. The resolution depends purely on the timing of when each team reaches that specific point threshold.
The event determines whether Chicago, Minnesota, or neither team is the first to score 14 points in the full game (including overtime) of the Minnesota vs Chicago Pro Football game originally scheduled for Sep 20, 2026. If Chicago reaches 14 points before Minnesota, the Chicago market resolves to Yes. If Minnesota reaches 14 points before Chicago, the Minnesota market resolves to Yes. If neither team scores 14 points at any point during the game, the Neither Team market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the Governing League, and all trademarks, logos, and brand names belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it may indicate differing opinions on the likely outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks to incorporate new information or adjust to changing circumstances, offering a potentially more dynamic assessment of the event’s probability.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. As more people buy contracts for a particular team, the price of those contracts increases, reflecting a higher perceived chance of that team reaching 14 points first. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price essentially represents the collective belief of all traders participating on Kalshi. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly adjust to new information and changing expectations surrounding the game.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team – Minnesota or Chicago – reaches 14 points first during the game. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and scoring as reported by recognized sports data providers. Any disputes regarding the final score will be settled using widely accepted sources of truth to ensure an accurate and fair outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or changes to the starting lineups for either Minnesota or Chicago would likely have a significant impact. In-game performance during the early stages of the contest, such as early scoring drives or defensive stops, could also rapidly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions, if they affect the game’s strategy or pace, could also play a role. Overall, any information that alters the perceived probability of either team reaching 14 points first has the potential to move this market.
