Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus and real-money risk. This market aggregates the collective judgment of traders betting their own capital, which can sometimes reveal information gaps or contrarian views that traditional sportsbooks have not yet priced in. Comparing the two can highlight where the crowd sees value or where sharp money is flowing.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 1 (or 0% to 100%), reflecting the current odds. As traders place bets, the price adjusts dynamically to balance supply and demand. The top outcome currently reflects trader conviction, and you can enter or exit your position at any time before the market closes, allowing for continuous price discovery throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Aug 2, 2026, after the second half of the match concludes. The outcome is determined by the verified result of the game—specifically, which team wins the second-half period or whether it ends in a draw. Once the match is complete, the result is confirmed against credible public sources such as official league records or major sports data providers. Traders who backed the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless.
Several factors can shift this market before kickoff and during the first half. Team news—such as injury announcements, lineup changes, or tactical adjustments—often triggers sharp repricing. Weather conditions, travel delays, or recent form swings can also influence trader sentiment. Once the first half begins, goals, red cards, or momentum shifts will drive real-time price movement as traders update their expectations for the second-half outcome. Monitor official team announcements and live match commentary to stay ahead of market moves.
