Kalshi and Predict may price this market differently due to variations in user base, liquidity depth, and contract design. Kalshi and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Smaller or less-active markets can see wider bid-ask spreads and slower price discovery, while differences in how each platform structures outcomes—such as tie handling or payout mechanics—can also create temporary gaps. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these spreads, but during low-volume periods, divergence can persist longer than on high-traffic events.
Key catalysts include injury announcements, lineup changes, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical matchups. Weather conditions, home-field advantage, and playoff seeding implications can also shift trader conviction significantly. Breaking news about player availability or coaching decisions often triggers sharp price moves, as does momentum from either team's recent wins or losses. Monitor team news feeds and sports media closely in the days leading up to game time for the most impactful updates.
