Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of participants, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If there's a significant discrepancy, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by exploiting the difference in pricing between the two. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence regarding the Mihalachi vs. Axenti match.
