This set of markets focuses on predicting the total points scored by both Michigan State and Notre Dame specifically during the third quarter of their college football game. Each market corresponds to a different threshold of points, allowing participants to assess the likelihood of various scoring levels in that quarter alone.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the third quarter of the Michigan St. vs Notre Dame college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026. For any market, if the collective points exceed the specified threshold (e.g., more than 2.5, 5.5, up to 27.5 points), it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or when public opinion strongly favors one outcome. Analyzing these differences can reveal insights into where the market perceives value or disagreement with sportsbook assessments.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 3rd quarter of the Michigan State vs Notre Dame football game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, and the market will pay out to those who correctly predicted whether the total points scored in the 3rd quarter exceeded 13.5. The final score will be sourced from official game data and will determine the winning contracts.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Michigan State or Notre Dame would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions impacting scoring, could also shift the market. Additionally, in-game performance during the first half, especially if one team establishes a dominant lead or demonstrates a strong offensive or defensive strategy, could impact trader sentiment and adjust the price of contracts in this market.
