This market tracks the outcome of the second map in a Valorant match between MIBR and NRG scheduled for July 18, 2026, as part of the VCT Americas Stage 2 competition. The winner of map 2 determines the market resolution.
Resolution is determined by the official result of map 2 in the specified match. If the match or map is postponed beyond 48 hours from the original July 18, 2026 start time, or if either is cancelled before play begins, the market resolves to fair market price. If a match is forfeited before any play occurs, the market resolves to fair market price. If a map is forfeited before any play occurs, the market resolves to fair market price. However, if a map begins and is subsequently forfeited, the market resolves according to the official result published by the governing body or tournament organizer.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different incentive structures. Sportsbooks balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs directly through price discovery. For esports events like this one, prediction markets can reflect real-time information and sharp trader positioning, sometimes moving faster than traditional sportsbooks. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception differs from professional assessment, though both serve as useful reference points for evaluating probability.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers set bids and asks that determine the live odds. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the collective confidence of active traders, updating in real time as new information emerges or positions shift. You can enter limit or market orders to trade at your preferred price, and the spread between bid and ask indicates how tight or wide the market consensus is around the likely outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 19, 2026, once the Map 2 result is finalized and verifiable from credible public sources covering the match. The outcome is determined by which team wins the map according to official tournament or league records. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell positions, with prices potentially shifting as the match progresses or new developments emerge.
Several factors could shift prices before resolution. Team roster changes, recent performance trends, or injury announcements affecting either squad may prompt trader repositioning. In-game momentum during the actual match—such as early round wins or tactical adjustments—often triggers sharp price moves as live information flows in. Additionally, broader esports news, meta shifts in the game, or historical head-to-head records can influence how traders reassess the probability of each outcome as the event date approaches.
