Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect real-time crowd sentiment rather than fixed lines set by oddsmakers. On this market, traders continuously adjust prices based on incoming information, team news, and live match developments, which can lead to faster repricing than conventional betting venues. Comparing the two reveals whether the crowd is more bullish or bearish than the sportsbook, though both ultimately aim to reflect the true probability of the second half outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of shares held in the pool, and each trade shifts the price incrementally. Traders profit by buying undervalued outcomes and selling overvalued ones, which naturally drives prices toward their true probability over time.
This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, once the match concludes and the second half result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score and result recorded for the second half only, independent of the first half. Resolution occurs after sufficient time for official confirmation, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning traders.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries, lineup changes, or tactical adjustments announced before kickoff. Live match events—goals, red cards, or momentum shifts during the first half—often trigger repricing as traders update their expectations for the second half. Weather conditions, crowd dynamics, and managerial substitutions can also influence sentiment. Additionally, any official statements from either club or unexpected developments in the hours before the match may cause sharp price movements as traders reassess probabilities.
