The market resolves on Jun 12, 2026, after the final whistle of the Mexico vs South Africa match on June 11. Resolution is determined by the official offside count recorded by the match referee and assistant referees during live play. Only offsides calls that are made and flagged during the match count toward the total; VAR reviews do not add to the count unless they result in a new offside decision being announced. The outcome is binary: if the referee's official tally reaches 3 or more offsides against Mexico, the YES outcome resolves; otherwise, it resolves NO.
Several factors could shift odds before kickoff and during the match. Team news—injuries to Mexico's forwards or South Africa's defenders—can alter attacking intensity and defensive shape. Tactical announcements, such as Mexico committing to a high press or South Africa playing a deep defensive line, directly influence offside likelihood. Pre-match referee assignments may matter if certain officials are known for stricter or looser offside interpretation. During the match itself, early offsides calls will move prices sharply; if Mexico records 2 offsides in the first half, traders will reprice the 3+ outcome higher. Substitutions, red cards, and match flow—whether Mexico is chasing the game—also drive real-time probability swings.
