This market tracks the outcome of the Metro Bank One Day Cup cricket match between Northamptonshire and Lancashire. The aggregated consensus probability for the leading outcome stands at 94.5%. Data is drawn from Polymarket and Kalshi, with resolution provided by ESPNcricinfo. The key catalyst to monitor will be the official match result, scheduled for August 2, 2026, which will determine the market's final settlement according to the unified resolution criteria.
This market refers to the cricket match between Northamptonshire and Lancashire scheduled for August 2 2026 in Metro Bank One Day Cup. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
The event resolves based on the winner of the Birmingham Phoenix vs Welsh Fire women's professional The Hundred match scheduled for August 1, 2026. If Birmingham Phoenix wins, their market resolves to Yes, and Welsh Fire's market resolves to No. If Welsh Fire wins, their market resolves to Yes, and Birmingham Phoenix's market resolves to No. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, cancellation, or insufficient play to determine a winner, all markets resolve to $0.50. In the event of a forfeit, disqualification, or concession before the match begins, all markets resolve to $0.50. If such events occur after play has started and the governing body declares a winner, the market resolves based on that declared result. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because each platform attracts distinct trader groups and may have different liquidity levels. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one venue might see heavier betting from regional fans, shifting its implied probability. Additionally, each platform calculates its own fees and may update probabilities on different schedules, all of which can create gaps between the two markets.
In the run-up to resolution, anything that changes the perceived strength of the teams can shift this market. Key signals include player injuries, weather forecasts affecting pitch conditions, recent form in warm-up matches, and any last-minute squad announcements. Major news on Polymarket or Kalshi — like a sudden surge in trading volume — can also push probabilities quickly as traders react to new information.
