Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event occurring, as determined by traders. These discrepancies can arise from differing expert opinions, public sentiment, or the influence of large bets placed on this market. It’s useful to compare both to form a well-rounded view.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Melashenko vs. Krol match. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, indicating a growing belief in its likelihood. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd participating in this market.
