Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. This is because prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of the crowd, while sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and profit margins. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply varying opinions on the likelihood of each outcome. Analyzing these differences can be valuable for identifying potential value bets, but remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts accordingly, providing a real-time assessment of the event’s potential results. The current trading volume indicates the level of conviction behind these probabilities.

This market resolves around Sep 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will reflect the official result of the Marushchak vs. Savoliuk match, as determined by the governing sporting body. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of the winning outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or account for any losses based on the final result.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding the players' form, potential injuries, or changes in their coaching strategies could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected announcements about the match schedule or venue could also create volatility. Furthermore, public sentiment and expert analysis, if they diverge from the current market consensus, could prompt traders to reassess their positions, leading to price adjustments.
