This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Semifinal between Marta Kostyuk and Linda Noskova on July 9. The winner of set 2 will be determined by standard professional tennis scoring rules.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 in the professional tennis match between Marta Kostyuk and Linda Noskova at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Semifinal. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot be settled resolve to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders betting real money on outcomes. This market allows you to compare your own assessment against the consensus price on Kalshi. If you believe the market is mispricing the set winner relative to what sportsbooks offer, you can trade accordingly. Both venues can provide valuable signals, but each operates independently.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers for each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the most recent trades and pending orders, updating in real time as new information emerges or traders adjust their positions. Each outcome has its own contract, and the combined probabilities of all outcomes should sum to approximately 100 percent. You can place limit or market orders to enter or exit your position at any time before the market closes.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the second set of the Kostyuk vs Noskova match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official tennis scoring rules. Until that point, you can trade your position freely. After resolution, the winning outcome will be marked and payouts distributed to holders of the correct contract.
Several factors could shift odds before this market closes. Player form, recent match results, and head-to-head records may influence trader sentiment. Court surface, weather conditions, and player injuries or fitness concerns announced before the match can trigger significant repricing. News about player motivation, ranking implications, or tournament context may also matter. Real-time developments during the first set—such as momentum swings, break points, or tactical adjustments—could reshape expectations for the second set. Monitor official announcements and reliable sports reporting for catalysts that might move this market.
