This market tracks the outcome of the third set in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128 match between Marco Trungelliti and Martin Damm Jr on June 29. The winner of set 3 determines the market resolution.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 3 of the professional tennis match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate real-time beliefs from traders risking their own capital. This market may show different implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, particularly as new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd's conviction differs from bookmaker pricing, though both respond dynamically to breaking news and match developments.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for outcome shares. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the marginal trade—the last executed transaction—and converges toward the true probability as more traders participate. Wider bid-ask spreads indicate lower liquidity and higher uncertainty, while tighter spreads suggest strong consensus. You can enter limit or market orders to position yourself based on your own forecast of the set winner.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the third set of the Trungelliti vs Damm Jr match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official match records. Until that point, prices will fluctuate based on live match action, player performance, and trader sentiment. Early resolution is possible if the match is abandoned or the set is voided under tournament rules.
Live match performance is the primary driver: breaks of serve, set momentum shifts, and injury concerns will trigger sharp price swings as traders update their forecasts in real time. Player fatigue after earlier sets, court conditions, and weather delays can also influence outcomes. Pre-match news—such as lineup confirmations, recent form, or head-to-head records—may move prices before play begins. Social media commentary and expert analysis can amplify sentiment, while unexpected tactical adjustments during play often spark volatile trading as the crowd reassesses probabilities.
