In the upcoming Premier League game between Manchester United FC and Manchester City FC, scheduled for September 13, 2026 at 11:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Manchester United FC vs. Manchester City FC match originally scheduled for September 13, 2026 at 11:30 AM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs and adjust prices based on new information. If you find a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular outcome. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact scores for the first half. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices will fluctuate, providing a real-time assessment of expectations. The market’s efficiency depends on the number of participants and the information they incorporate into their trading decisions.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official result of the first half of the Manchester Derby is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score at the end of the first half, as determined by official sources, will be used to determine the winning shares. It’s important to note that any extra time added at the end of the first half will not be considered when determining the score for resolution purposes. The outcome will be based solely on the score at the 45-minute mark.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Manchester United or Manchester City would likely cause significant price movement. Tactical announcements from either manager, such as confirmed starting lineups or formation changes, could also impact the market. Furthermore, real-time events during the match itself, such as early goals or red cards, would undoubtedly lead to substantial shifts in the odds as traders react to the unfolding situation. Unexpected weather conditions could also play a role.
