Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Market design and user bases drive the variance. Polymarket often attracts crypto-native traders who may react swiftly to new data, pushing probabilities to extremes based on real-time sentiment. Kalshi tends to have a more conservative, broader audience that balances probabilities differently. Liquidity differences also play a role — deeper pools on one platform can stabilize prices, while thinner markets elsewhere may see wider swings. These dynamics create distinct pricing landscapes even for the same underlying question.
