This prediction market asks for the winner of the second half of a FIFA International Friendly match between Malta and Liechtenstein. Resolution depends on which team scores more goals in the second half, including stoppage time, or if the result is a draw. The markets specify fallback data sources if official statistics are unavailable.
In the upcoming FIFA International Friendlies game between Malta and Liechtenstein, scheduled for September 27, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Malta" if Malta score more goals than Liechtenstein in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Draw" if Malta and Liechtenstein score the same number of goals in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Liechtenstein" if Liechtenstein score more goals than Malta in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Draw". This market refers only to the outcome within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ that can differ from traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance risk, while prediction markets allow users to directly express their beliefs, creating a dynamic pricing mechanism. This market’s implied probabilities may diverge from those offered by sportsbooks due to differing information sources, biases, or the incentive structures inherent in each system. Often, prediction markets can offer more accurate forecasts, particularly when there’s significant public interest and trading volume.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict may differ due to variations in user base, trading volume, and market-specific rules. Polymarket currently favors Malta to win the second half, while Predict leans toward Liechtenstein. These discrepancies can arise from differing levels of information available to traders on each platform, or simply from the inherent randomness of trading activity. Furthermore, each platform attracts different types of participants, potentially leading to biases in the expressed probabilities. The differing fee structures and liquidity on each platform can also contribute to price divergence.
Several signals could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, team formations, or changes in coaching strategies for either Malta or Liechtenstein could significantly shift probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role. Furthermore, significant trading volume on either Polymarket or Predict driven by informed traders or large bets could cause noticeable price movements. Public sentiment and media coverage surrounding the match could also indirectly impact the market as more participants become aware of the event.
