PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict use identical resolution logic and fallback procedures for determining the first team to score.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore, Sofascore, or a consensus of credible reporting.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score during the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponements delay resolution; cancellations resolve to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If both are unavailable, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur after the completion of the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, or as soon as official data is available (within 24 hours of the event's conclusion). Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit from balanced betting, while prediction markets allow anyone to express their belief, creating a more fluid and potentially accurate assessment of probabilities. The difference can stem from varying information sources, biases, or simply a larger and more diverse pool of participants influencing this market. It's worth comparing both to gain a well-rounded understanding of potential outcomes.

Prices on Polymarket and Predict for this market can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying risk appetites and information access. Polymarket may have more sophisticated traders, leading to more efficient price discovery, while Predict might be influenced by a broader, less experienced audience. Furthermore, differing trading fees, liquidity, and market-making activity on each platform can contribute to price discrepancies. The volume of trading also plays a role; higher volume generally leads to tighter spreads, but if one platform has significantly more volume, its price will likely be more influential.
