Generally, prediction market odds often reflect information and insights beyond those considered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. Therefore, discrepancies can emerge as new information becomes available or as market participants interpret existing data differently. It's common to see prediction market probabilities shift more rapidly in response to breaking news or changing perceptions than sportsbook odds. Analyzing these differences can reveal valuable insights into the collective assessment of the event's likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective expectation. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand; if more people believe one outcome is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions.
This market resolves around Sep 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
