This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Washington Freedom and Texas Super Kings scheduled for 2026-06-27 in Major League Cricket. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Washington Freedom will be considered correct if Washington Freedom is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Texas Super Kings will be considered correct if Texas Super Kings is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit, while prediction markets price outcomes based on trader belief and capital allocation. In this market, the odds you see represent aggregated forecasts from participants risking real money on the result. Sportsbooks may offer different implied probabilities due to their margin requirements and risk management. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception and market-based forecasts align or differ, though each serves a distinct purpose in the betting ecosystem.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on the volume and direction of trades. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy or sell shares representing each outcome, and the platform's pricing algorithm updates the implied probability in real time. The current odds reflect the cumulative positions of all participants; as more capital flows toward one outcome, its price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls. This mechanism ensures continuous liquidity and allows traders to enter or exit positions at transparent, algorithmically determined rates throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the toss outcome from the Washington Freedom versus Texas Super Kings match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning outcome will be confirmed based on the official result announced by Major League Cricket or verified through established sports news sources. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell positions as new information emerges. Resolution is automatic once the event concludes and the outcome is documented, at which time winning positions are paid out according to their final odds.
Several factors may shift odds before resolution. Team news—such as roster changes, injuries to key players, or tactical announcements—can alter trader expectations about match dynamics and toss strategy. Weather forecasts and pitch reports released closer to game day often influence toss-related decisions and may prompt position adjustments. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and historical head-to-head toss records can also sway market participants. As the match date approaches and more official information becomes available, traders will reassess probabilities and reposition accordingly, causing price movements that reflect evolving confidence in each outcome.
