This market refers to the cricket match between Washington Freedom and Mi New York scheduled for July 15 2026 in Major League Cricket. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may show higher or lower probabilities than traditional sportsbooks depending on which venue has sharper information flow. Comparing the two can reveal where sophisticated traders see value or where public perception differs from expert consensus.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into continuous probability quotes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the cumulative positions of all participants; as more traders bet on one outcome, the odds shift to reflect that collective view. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how quickly prices move, so periods of high activity can produce sharper price discovery than quieter windows.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score and result of the game as officially recorded. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell positions, allowing the market price to evolve as new information emerges or as the event unfolds in real time.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury updates, recent form and head-to-head records, and weather conditions on match day. Pre-game commentary from analysts and betting syndicates can also shift trader sentiment sharply. During the match itself, early performance, momentum swings, and in-game developments will drive rapid repricing. Social media discussion and expert predictions may amplify volatility, especially if one team establishes early dominance or if the contest remains competitive throughout.
