This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Texas Super Kings and Seattle Orcas scheduled for 2026-06-18 in Major League Cricket. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Texas Super Kings will be considered correct if Texas Super Kings is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Seattle Orcas will be considered correct if Seattle Orcas is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. Traders betting real money on this market may incorporate live information, team news, or historical toss patterns that sportsbooks have not yet repriced. Over time, prediction market odds tend to converge toward actual outcomes, making them a useful benchmark for comparing against traditional betting lines.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares tied to each toss outcome, with the share price reflecting the implied probability of that result. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market uses an automated market maker or order-book mechanism to match buyers and sellers, allowing prices to adjust continuously based on new information and trading volume. Your position's value fluctuates with the market price, and you can exit at any time before resolution. This mechanism ensures that prices remain responsive to breaking news or shifting expectations about the toss.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before resolution. Team roster announcements, injury updates, or weather forecasts may influence trader expectations about which captain wins the toss. Historical head-to-head toss records or venue-specific patterns could spark trading activity if new analysis surfaces. Late-breaking news about player availability or tactical changes might also prompt repricing. As game day nears, increased trading volume and media coverage typically amplify price swings, so monitor league updates and expert commentary for catalysts that could reshape market sentiment.
