This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Seattle Orcas and Texas Super Kings scheduled for 2026-07-05 in Major League Cricket. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Seattle Orcas will be considered correct if Seattle Orcas is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Texas Super Kings will be considered correct if Texas Super Kings is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized trader beliefs in real time. For a toss outcome, sportsbooks may price closer to 50–50 with built-in margins, whereas this market can shift based on live trading activity and information flow. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue perceives edge relative to the other.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism where buying or selling shares moves the odds in real time. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome in this market has a price between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), reflecting the collective probability assigned by the trading community. As more capital flows into one side, the price adjusts upward; conversely, selling pressure drives it down. This continuous repricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information and trader conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, after the Seattle Orcas and Texas Super Kings toss has concluded. The outcome will be confirmed once the result is verifiable from credible public reporting of the match. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on official match documentation and platform verification protocols.
Several factors may shift prices in this market before it resolves. Team news—such as injury updates, lineup changes, or weather conditions at the venue—can influence trader expectations about which captain wins the toss. Historical head-to-head toss records or patterns may attract informed traders. Social media discussion, expert commentary, and late-breaking match logistics can also trigger repricing. As the match date approaches, increased trading activity and refined information typically narrow the odds range.
