PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's match winner market contains a logical contradiction: both possible outcomes (Washington Freedom wins OR San Francisco Unicorns wins) are mapped to the same resolution (Yes), making the market fundamentally unresolvable and creating data integrity failure.Hero tip: Avoid trading the Kalshi winner market until the platform issues a clarification or amendment. The market as written cannot distinguish between outcomes. Polymarket's three related markets (winner, completion, toss) are logically sound and follow standard cricket resolution conventions.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Match winner market states both 'Washington Freedom wins resolves Yes' and 'San Francisco Unicorns wins resolves Yes' - a logical impossibility that makes the market unresolvable. No clear handling of ties, cancellations, or other edge cases is provided.
  • Polymarket: Three separate markets with clear resolution logic: (1) Winner resolves per ESPNCricinfo finalized result; ties with Super Over use tiebreak winner; ties without tiebreak or cancellations resolve 50-50. (2) Completion market resolves Yes for any official result (including DLS, forfeit, Super Over) and No for abandonment/no result. (3) Toss market resolves per official coin toss result or 50-50 if no toss recorded. All sources reference ESPNCricinfo as primary authority with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting consensus.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the cricket match between San Francisco Unicorns and Washington Freedom scheduled for June 28 2026 in Major League Cricket. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Kalshi

The market resolves based on the official result declared by the governing body for the San Francisco Unicorns vs Washington Freedom men's professional Major League Cricket match scheduled for June 28, 2026 at 9:30 PM EDT. If the match concludes with a decisive winner, the market resolves Yes for whichever team prevails. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner declared, the market resolves to $0.50. In cases of forfeit, disqualification, or concession occurring before the match begins, the market resolves to $0.50. If such events occur after play has begun and the governing body declares an official winner, the market resolves based on that declaration. If play commences but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, the market resolves to $0.50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like those tracked here operate on peer-to-peer trading rather than fixed sportsbook lines. Odds reflect live supply and demand from traders worldwide, often incorporating real-time information faster than traditional sportsbooks adjust their spreads. Prediction market prices tend to be more efficient for niche or emerging events because they reward accurate forecasting directly. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter liquidity on major matchups. Comparing this market's consensus price to your preferred sportsbook can reveal value opportunities before the event unfolds.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, contract designs, and regulatory frameworks. Kalshi's binary outcome structure may appeal to traders seeking straightforward yes-or-no exposure, while Polymarket's toss-prediction contract draws specialists focused on early-match dynamics. Liquidity concentration, fee structures, and user geography also drive pricing gaps. These differences create arbitrage opportunities for alert traders and reflect how decentralized prediction markets price the same underlying event through distinct mechanisms and communities.

Key catalysts include team roster announcements, player injuries or unavailability, recent form and head-to-head records, weather forecasts on match day, and toss outcome (which Polymarket traders actively price). Betting syndicate activity and sharp money flowing into either side can signal confidence shifts. Social media sentiment, expert commentary, and lineup changes posted hours before play often trigger repricing. Early-match momentum—such as quick wickets or aggressive batting—may also influence live trading if the platform supports in-play markets. Monitor official team channels and sports news for breaking developments.
