This market refers to the cricket match between San Francisco Unicorns and Mi New York scheduled for July 5 2026 in Major League Cricket. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital with no built-in spread. This market may show odds that differ from traditional sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges or as one venue attracts more informed traders than the other. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strongest and where sharp bettors see value.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome trade continuously, and the price of each share reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy or sell a particular outcome, its price adjusts automatically, ensuring the market stays responsive to new information and shifting expectations about the cricket match.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official final score and result announced by Major League Cricket or recognized sports data providers. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as odds fluctuate with team news, injury updates, and other developments that may influence expectations heading into the event.
Key catalysts include roster announcements, player injuries, recent team performance, weather forecasts, and head-to-head matchup history. Trades or roster moves involving star players can shift odds significantly, as can public statements from coaches or analysts. Live betting activity itself can trigger momentum, especially if one side attracts a surge of informed traders. Closer to game day, venue conditions and final injury confirmations often drive sharp repricing as the match becomes more certain and less speculative.
