This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between San Francisco Unicorns and Los Angeles Knight Riders scheduled for 2026-07-15 in Major League Cricket. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to San Francisco Unicorns will be considered correct if San Francisco Unicorns is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Los Angeles Knight Riders will be considered correct if Los Angeles Knight Riders is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different trader bases and incentive structures. On prediction markets, odds are set by traders risking real capital, which can create sharper, more dynamic pricing than static sportsbook lines. For this market, comparing the current prediction market price to major sportsbooks' toss odds reveals whether professional bettors and casual traders are pricing the outcome differently—a useful signal of where informed money is flowing.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing each outcome, and the cumulative volume on each side determines the odds. As more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcome falls, creating a continuous price discovery mechanism that reflects the collective belief of all active traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the toss outcome is confirmed and verifiable from credible public sources covering the San Francisco Unicorns versus Los Angeles Knight Riders match. The resolution hinges on the official result announced at the ground on match day. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless.
Several factors can shift odds before the match begins. Team news—injuries, roster changes, or lineup announcements—often influences toss-outcome trading because certain captains or conditions may favor one result. Weather forecasts, venue-specific patterns, and historical toss data for both franchises can also trigger price swings. Late-breaking betting syndicate activity or social media momentum around player form may accelerate movement as the event date approaches, creating trading opportunities for those monitoring real-time developments.
