This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Mi New York and Texas Super Kings scheduled for 2026-06-26 in Major League Cricket. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Mi New York will be considered correct if Mi New York is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Texas Super Kings will be considered correct if Texas Super Kings is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, incorporating a built-in margin. Prediction markets, by contrast, are driven by trader consensus and real-time supply and demand. This market reflects what thousands of independent participants believe will happen, which can differ meaningfully from traditional sportsbook pricing. Many traders use both venues to identify value discrepancies and inform their wagering decisions.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares tied to each possible outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome contract fluctuates based on order flow, with higher demand pushing prices upward and lower demand pushing them down. This continuous auction mechanism ensures the market price reflects the latest information and trader sentiment. Liquidity providers help maintain tight spreads, allowing participants to enter and exit positions efficiently throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, once the toss outcome is verified and confirmed. The result will be determined by the official match records and credible public reporting of the event. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the event concludes and the outcome is publicly announced by the league or broadcast partners.
Several factors could shift odds before resolution. Team roster changes, injury announcements, or weather forecasts affecting playing conditions may influence trader expectations about the toss outcome. Media coverage and expert commentary can sway sentiment, as can historical head-to-head toss records or captain tendencies. Late-breaking news about venue conditions or player availability often triggers repricing. As the match date approaches, increased trading volume and refined forecasts typically narrow the range of possible outcomes reflected in the market price.
