These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the first half of a college football game between Maine and Boston College. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the first half of the Maine vs Boston College college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 6.5, 9.5 points, etc.), the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. Only points scored during the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe the sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, the prediction market price will move accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a larger and more diverse pool of participants influencing the prediction market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the total points scored in the first half will be over or under a certain threshold. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived chance. Traders can set their own bid and ask prices, and the market finds an equilibrium based on supply and demand. As more information becomes available, or as the event draws nearer, the price will adjust to reflect the changing expectations of traders.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the first half of the Maine vs Boston College game will be used to determine whether the total points scored meet the threshold defined by the market. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective outcome. Traders will then be paid out based on their positions in the market, reflecting the accuracy of their predictions.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. News regarding key player injuries for either Maine or Boston College would likely have a significant impact, as would any changes in weather conditions that could affect scoring. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team lineups could also shift trader sentiment. Furthermore, any public analysis or expert predictions that contradict the current market price could prompt traders to reassess their positions, leading to price fluctuations. The closer we get to game time, the more sensitive this market will be to new information.
