This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Coastal Kings Mangaluru and Shivamogga Yodhas scheduled for 2026-07-02 in Maharaja T20 Trophy. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Coastal Kings Mangaluru will be considered correct if Coastal Kings Mangaluru is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Shivamogga Yodhas will be considered correct if Shivamogga Yodhas is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant pools and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money risk. Sportsbooks may adjust faster for sharp action, whereas prediction markets can be slower to incorporate late-breaking news but often reflect longer-term fundamental views. For this toss market, comparing the implied probability here against major sportsbook lines reveals whether the crowd is pricing in information the books have yet to fully digest.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome is represented as a separate contract, and the combined probability of all outcomes sums to 100 percent. As traders deposit capital and place bets, the price of each outcome adjusts algorithmically to reflect the new supply and demand balance. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market remains liquid and responsive to new information throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the toss outcome from the Maharaja T20 Trophy match between Coastal Kings and Shivamogga Yodhas is verified against credible public sources. The winning contract will be confirmed based on the official result announced by the match officials and broadcast by the tournament organizers. Traders holding the correct outcome will receive their payout proportional to their stake, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match conclusion.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Weather forecasts closer to match day may influence toss-calling strategy, as rain or wind patterns sometimes favor one captain's decision. Team news—injuries to key players or late lineup changes—can alter captain psychology and historical toss patterns. Social media sentiment and expert commentary may sway trader conviction as the event approaches. Additionally, any official announcements from the tournament or venue could introduce new information that reshapes expectations about which outcome is more likely.
