This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Magda Linette and Mirra Andreeva at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The winner of set 2 will be determined by standard tennis scoring rules.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 in the Magda Linette vs Mirra Andreeva match at 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates trader conviction across the full range of possible results, sometimes revealing edges that traditional oddsmakers miss. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can highlight where professional bettors and prediction market participants disagree, potentially signaling value or consensus shifts as the match approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the marginal probability traders assign to that player winning Set 2, with share prices ranging from $0 to $1. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their orders, and the market price adjusts in real time. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and improves price discovery, making the odds more reliable as a consensus estimate.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the second set of the Linette vs Andreeva match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official match records and tournament reporting. Until that point, the market remains open for trading, and odds may shift based on live match action, player form, or other relevant developments. Resolution is automatic once the event result is confirmed and published.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before Jun 29, 2026. First-set performance is often predictive; if Linette or Andreeva dominates Set 1, traders may adjust their Set 2 expectations accordingly. Injury reports, player fatigue, or tactical adjustments announced during the match break could trigger sharp moves. Real-time match statistics—break-point conversion rates, serve speed, unforced errors—also influence trader sentiment. News about recent form, head-to-head records, or surface conditions may prompt repricing. Finally, betting action from informed participants or sudden liquidity spikes can signal new information entering the market.
