Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on models and public perception, while this market allows individuals to trade on their own informed opinions. As more information becomes available—such as team news or weather conditions—the odds on Polymarket may converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds. It’s common to see prediction markets offer more accurate probabilities, especially closer to the event, as they incorporate a wider range of perspectives.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. The price of each share reflects the market's current assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular outcome is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price. Conversely, if traders believe an outcome is unlikely, they will sell shares, decreasing the price. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of its participants.

This market resolves around Sep 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the second half of the Maccabi Tel Aviv FC versus Hapoel Tel Aviv FC match. Specifically, the market will determine whether a goal was scored in the second half, or if the second half ended without a goal. The outcome will be determined by official match data and verified by the platform.

Several signals could significantly move this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Maccabi Tel Aviv FC or Hapoel Tel Aviv FC would likely impact trading activity. Tactical changes announced by either manager, or even unexpected weather conditions on match day, could also shift the odds.
