Two soccer teams compete in a match where the winner after 90 minutes plus stoppage time determines the outcome. The market resolves based on which team secures a victory within regulation time, excluding any extra periods or penalty shootouts.
The market resolves to Yes if the specified team wins the soccer match after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalties. If the match ends in a tie, the 'Tie' market resolves to Yes. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours away from the original date, the market will resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds in this market often reflect a different outlook than traditional sportsbook lines. While sportsbooks may incorporate additional factors or adjust for their own liability models, traders on Kalshi set prices based purely on collective participant sentiment and recent data trends. This can lead to tighter spreads or divergent favorites compared to standard betting platforms, especially as new information emerges about team performance or player availability.
On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Kalshi, traders manually set the prices for this market, buying and selling contracts that represent each possible outcome. The current odds reflect the aggregated beliefs and bets from all participants, with the top outcome displayed as a percentage chance based on trading volume and recent activity. As the event date nears, any shifts in public sentiment or new analysis can rapidly change these prices, driven entirely by user interaction on the platform.
This market resolves around Aug 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result is determined by the official match result after regulation time, without accounting for extra time or penalties. Once the final whistle blows and the win is reported across trusted sports news outlets, the market will close and payout accordingly based on the traded contracts.
Injuries to key players, changes in coaching strategy, or recent performance trends could all shift this market in the days leading up to the match. Weather conditions, disciplinary actions, or even early betting patterns on Kalshi can also create momentum swings. As new information becomes public, traders will adjust their positions, potentially causing noticeable changes in the odds and volume for each possible outcome.
