Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs and willingness to take the other side of a bet. If there’s a significant discrepancy, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.
