Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to unexpected news or developments than sportsbooks, as the continuous trading process incorporates new data almost instantly. However, sportsbooks may offer more competitive pricing on certain outcomes.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions (like weather), or updates on player form could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in earlier rounds of the tournament, or even social media commentary from tennis analysts, could also have an impact. Furthermore, large trades executed by individual participants on Polymarket can cause noticeable price fluctuations, especially if the volume is substantial relative to the overall market size.
