Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their own analysis, aiming to balance action on both sides. This market, however, allows anyone to trade based on their own information and beliefs, leading to odds that can diverge from sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate unique data or perspectives not fully captured by traditional oddsmakers, potentially offering a more accurate forecast of the match’s outcome.
