Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing the event, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been wagered, as prediction markets often incorporate more information and diverse perspectives than a single sportsbook.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of the traders.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. It’s important to note that the resolution process relies on publicly available information to ensure a fair and transparent outcome for all participants.
