Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs. If prediction market odds significantly diverge from sportsbook lines, it could indicate that traders possess information not yet fully priced into the sportsbook odds, or vice versa. It's important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms and may appeal to different types of bettors.
