On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the race’s potential results.
This market resolves around Sep 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official results of the M25 Sintra race will be used to determine the winning racer, and this will be reflected in the market’s settlement. Traders who hold shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout, while those holding shares in losing outcomes will not. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on publicly available information, ensuring a fair and accurate outcome for all participants.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market before the race concludes. Any news regarding racer fitness, changes in weather conditions affecting the race, or even shifts in public sentiment could all impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements about equipment changes or strategic adjustments by either racer could also lead to significant price fluctuations. Furthermore, large volume trades from influential participants could temporarily shift the odds, reflecting their informed perspective on the race’s likely outcome.
